ABOUT
THE METHODOLOGY
Are you ready to make a splash in the independent film industry?
We are advocating for a transformative shift towards a people-centric approach in the film industry. Our initiative aims to revolutionize the way movies are made, fostering a culture of community and fairness.
Our innovative model focuses on eliminating the divisive "us & them" mindset by reducing "middlemen" roles and introducing a new financial structure that benefits all parties involved.
The idea is nothing new, other than IT IS, by the way that it's structured and more importantly, how the contracts and sharing plays out.
Central to this is a profit-sharing program that extends to everyone involved, each individual's percentage of the intellectual property's revenue aligns with their contribution, ensuring a more equitable distribution of profits.
Rather than paying traditional rates, participants (producer all the way down to PA) will receive a percentage of the film proportionate to their role. Fostering a collaborative and sustainable filmmaking ecosystem. Everybody, all taking the same risk, providing an equal playing field.
For instance, a Director of Photography who would earn $1,500 per day working on a $3MM project for 20 days would hold close to 1% in the project. This model guarantees fair compensation, with potential earnings scaling based on the project's revenue, whether it yields only $1,000,000 or a hit at $75,000,000.
This is totally different from the traditional "back-end points" which usually are so contractually convoluted and diluted down, it's pretty common to never see those points.
Despite this shift towards ownership-based compensation, every person on set still receives a per diem daily to help make ends meet, along with adherence to industry-standard work schedules and provisions for all meals and lodging.
Moreover, our approach extends beyond the cast and crew to encompass partnerships with various stakeholders such as restaurants, hotels, equipment providers, and more. Unlike traditional crowdfunding methods, we maintain investor involvement while offering more secure and attractive opportunities for investors with minimal risks. In other words, as restaurants or hotels give services below their normal rate they could also share in a small revenue share percentage of the film.
Although operating films is at a $3MM production level, we can make films for under $500,000. Partnerships with all stakeholders allows us to be extremely competitive in such a risk-averse economy and function on a cost-base model.
Our commitment to transparent and lifelong profit-sharing ensures that all contributors -, from filmmakers to investors, are prioritized.
THE STUDIO
Cinema Country strives to make FILMS FOR IMPACT! Films that offer value and culture to humanity. Films that behoove conversations. We're not looking for trends or popular ideas, but only unique, fresh stories that are well-crafted...hitting much needed causes such as: drug addiction, obesity, poverty, numerous mental illnesses, etc...
Story and characters come first!
THE DISTRIBUTION
Unconventional, unorthodox, honest, and bold - these words encapsulate our approach to movie distribution. In a world saturated with "content", we aim to break norms and create lasting impact.
At our core, we handle our own distribution because we believe in aligning the distribution process with the essence of the film itself. For every IP we create, our marketing strategy kicks off long before the film production commences. Gone are the days of creating a film and then scrambling and pandering for a lousy distribution deal.
In this evolving landscape, self-distribution emerges as the wiser where a dollar can turn into twenty. We prioritize transparency by tracking every dollar spent, ensuring maximum efficiency and impact. Embracing this shift heralds a new era for us where control and creativity intertwine seamlessly and stay under our own umbrella.
INNOVATIVE MARKETING
Cinema Country envisions a unique marketing approach, focusing on innovation and a strong online presence. The strategy includes engaging tactics such as stunt marketing, creative asset development, and building subscription-based behind-the-scenes for accumulating fanbases and future-building metadata. The goal is to connect with audiences in meaningful ways, leveraging the power of social media to capitalize on emerging opportunities. We want to really try and involve community partners and the audience in the filmmaking process too!
DIVERSIFYING OUR BUSINESS MODEL
Cinema Country aims to be a disruptor of the film industry by targeting market inefficiencies and power vacuums. Our strategies include greatly reducing costs significantly while preserving margins. By 2028, our goal is to boost our film production to one per quarter. We are not only establishing our production arms but also developing an internal domestic marketing division. Through tailored campaigns and a diversified business model, we aim to drive growth and innovation, ensuring efficiency and competitiveness in the film sector.
